                              The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman 3 Stars This year I wanted to start off by changing up the vibes. Last year was a very smutty reading year and there isn't anything wrong with that, in fact, I love that. However, I snagged this book on my first vacation with my boyfriend at a local bookshop and the sentimentality is what really drove this choice. That and it was a short read. I want to start by saying that this was in fact, a good book. I gave it three stars because I wasn't dying to know what happened next. With the length of this book, I should have been able to finish it the same day that I started it, but that just wasn't the case here. It took me a full week despite the fact that I wasn't really working and school had not started yet. The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot 4 Stars I picked up this book because I really wanted to read the adult book that has been added to the series. Being that I've never read these books, I felt that I should. Now, I breezed through this book. It was a quick, fun, light, and easy read. Not surprising since it's meant for tweens and teens. My main problem was how young Mia seemed, it might be just me, but I did not act like that in high school. Not even middle school, it read like 5th grade me was writing it. Yes, I said it was enjoyable, but my god, Mia drove me nuts most of the time. I'm really hoping to see her grow up because I don't know how much more of that I can take. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling 5 Stars I feel like I'm one of the last people, out of my age group, to read this series. Of course I've seen all of the movies, but that's just not the same as experiencing the magic and detail of the book. Going into this book I was very nervous for two reasons. One being that I heard a lot of people saying this was their least favorite book and also because it was my favorite movie. I didn't want to be disappointed and I definitely wasn't. J.K. Rowling has me at a loss for words. I was happy to see cute little Dobby was back and that Sirius was more prominent than he was in the movie. Lots of sobbing happened while I read, whether happy tears or sad tears, they were there. There's not much more I can say without spoiling it for the few others who haven't picked it up yet, but I will say that as fantastic as the movies are, the books are truly pure magic.
